A small, economic, but very efficient solar photovoltaics array with a nominal power of 3 kWp, installed in the Chieti province. The installation is what we call semi-integrated, that is with the solar panels distributed on top of the existing roof. This is a standard installation method which reduces installation costs. The brand of the solar panels is Solon, series 220/16 with an inverter from Samil Power (distributed in Italy by Solon) in order to guarantee long-term operation and a quick return on investment.
With an estimated annual production of 3600kWh this means that an emission of around 1500 kg CO2/year will be avoided, and if all the generated electricity is consumed, it corresponds to an energy saving of around 600 euro/year. Tax residents in Italy are able to detract 50% of the expenses, if installing before December 2015), meaning that the initial investiment will pay for itself in around 5 years’ time. Our compliments to the owner for making such a wise decision.
